Electronic Engineer 2 / Telecommunications

Join AZAD Technology Partners as an Electronics Engineer and provide engineering expertise for the Project Engineering Telecommunications organization within an enterprise utility environment. This engineer will provide scoping and design work for capital projects, based on analysis of engineering and design requirements, project parameters, and technical information from multiple sources.

This is a 2 years plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid with onsite one to two days a week in Vancouver, Washington.

The hourly pay rate range for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $4.57) is $44.57 - $51.57 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.

The Ideal Candidate Must Possess The Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering, is required.

5 years of experience in Telecommunications Engineering or closely-related field is required.

Must have knowledge of engineering concepts, principles and practices applicable to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system.

Experience with telecommunications or network engineering in a utility environment.

Experience with phone systems, including Avaya and/or Cisco.

Experience with transport core and edge products and management tools, Cisco routers and switches, and microwave radio equipment.

Knowledge of engineering standards, serial and interoffice circuits, and network equipment.

Knowledge of backbone infrastructure connectivity including microwave radio and fiber optic telecommunications systems is preferred.

Experience with telecommunication construction projects.
