QUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree in Special Education or Related Field with experience conducting Educational Assessments.
REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education
JOB GOAL: Conduct Educational Assessments for special education eligibility/programming.
Essential Performance Responsibilities
Support IEP Teams at Need for Assessment IEP meetings with reviewing data to determine the following: whether assessments are warranted, what types of assessments are warranted and what disability is suspected.
Conduct Educational Assessments, to include assessing the student, interpreting the test results and writing the Educational Assessment Report, based on referrals that are received from the Director of Special Education.
Attend IEP Meetings to review the Educational Assessments that were completed with IEP Teams
Collaborate with administrators, teachers, related service providers, Special Education Central Office staff and others regarding specific students in the assessment process.
Provide professional development to staff as appropriate, to include supporting other special education teachers who are conducting Educational Assessments.
Other duties as assigned by Director of Special Education.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Non-exempt. Eleven month work year.
