eCommerce Content Specialist

DiaMedical is seeking an eCommerce Content Specialist to partner with our Marketing and leadership team on building a stronger online presence for our brand through our website. The eCommerce Content Specialist is responsible for generating and implementing eCommerce strategies and creative ways to attract customers to the DiaMedical website and provide a positive customer experience to drive sales.

The focus of this position is on the careful and creative undertaking of technical information and processes. This job requires a disciplined, conscientious, hands-on approach and it requires work that is high quality and precise. There is a great deal of attention to developing creative solutions to problems and decisions.

Key Responsibilities And Other Duties As Assigned

  • Leads the day-to-day activities on the eCommerce website, monitors and analyzes its overall performance, and identifies areas of improvement in order to achieve goals including improving user experience, increasing website traffic and sales, and building brand awareness.
  • Effectively coordinates the copy, content and format needs to develop and maintain the eCommerce website to ensure the site is functional, accurate, and up to date.
  • Manages new and existing product content that supports site operations and growth strategies including product categories, descriptions, attributes, item placement and SEO tags.
  • Implements Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to grow organic search rankings and traffic.
  • Creates and edits content and attributes in NetSuite, using HTML when necessary.
  • Optimizes content to ensure search functions are easy to use/navigate and rankings are appropriately prioritized.
  • Manages the development, implementation, and optimization of paid search campaigns including AdWords buys with Google.
  • Provides timely updates of eCommerce content to the outside Web Development Team to implement.
  • Works to develop an understanding of DiaMedical products through self-led research and by working closely with other teams, subject matter experts, and vendors to confirm web content is technically accurate and well-structured.
  • Collaborates with Marketing to ensure web content aligns with our brand, analytics, SEO, and accessibility standards.
  • Reviews and tests web content, searches, links, and design to identify gaps and errors, assesses the functionality and usability of the site, and provides changes to the outside Web Development Team to update in a timely manner.
  • Researches, understands, and analyzes our industry, competitors, and customers to determine and advise what content engages and appeals to our customer base.
  • Stays up to date on industry leading best practices and technologies while gathering user feedback for recommendations on website improvement and enhancements.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in eCommerce, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field and 3 years of relevant eCommerce experience or the equivalent of 7 years combination of education and experience.

Skills And Experience

  • Experience implementing customer facing eCommerce web content and solutions.
  • Hands-on working knowledge of HTML and strong understanding of SEO techniques.
  • Prior experience working in NetSuite and SuiteCommerce Advanced a plus.
  • Motivated, self-starter with an ability to work cross-functionally and develop a collaborative work environment across multiple teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills that can adjust to the audience base.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate knowledge of DiaMedical products.
