Job Title: Drywaller

This is located at 1515 Brookville Crossing Way, Indianapolis.

Position Description: Reporting to the Cleanroom Project Manager, the Drywaller will work alongside the team to assist with the construction, modification, and transportation of our mobile and modular labs. Following work orders and design instructions, this position is primarily responsible for completion of a wide range of general carpentry work including supporting framing, siding installation, window/door installation, trim prep/installation, drywall, painting, roofing, plumbing rough in, basic electrical and more. You must be an excellent team player, must work closely and often side by side with 3rd party laborers, customers, contractors, local engineers, project managers and have phenomenal attendance.

Essential job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Read and interpret building diagrams/blueprints as needed to ensure construction of building components is done to specification.
  • Meet weekly production goals as assigned by the production manager and production supervisors.
  • Ensure materials used, and constructed building components, meet company quality expectations.
  • Maintain open communication with supervisor regarding safety concerns and assembly of building components.
  • Some of the specific responsibilities for the various production areas include, but are not limited to:
    • Carpentry preparation and construction of various building components including floors, walls, and roof.
    • Exterior finishing installation of siding, trim, sheathing/roofing material, windows, insulation, and exterior paint.
    • Interior finishing installation of interior paint, trim, cabinetry, internal fixtures, drywall, ceiling grid, ceiling tile, FRP cladding, doors, and caulking.
  • Maintain and keeps tools, machinery, and work area clean and organized.
  • Work in a safe manner following all safety policies while performing job duties.
  • Provide regular guidance to, and supports training of, less experienced production operators.
  • Partner with production leadership to identify opportunities for improvement and champion positive changes within the production process.
  • Ability to use a variety of basic hand tools and power tools that are common with construction.
  • Lift parts or carry parts weighing a few ounces to over 100 lbs. (assistance available when lifting items over 50 lbs.)
  • Frequently bends, stoops, twists, turns, and works in unusual positions using full body mobility.
  • Maintain a phenomenal attendance record.

Required Knowledge/Skills:

  • Excellent attendance is required.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools that are common with construction.
  • Read and interpret building diagrams/blueprints.
  • Be mechanically inclined.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient, and adaptable.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently to meet commitments.
  • Highly communicative and able to manage multiple modes of communication.
  • High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
  • Ability to identify risk and flag concerns to management.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external customers at various levels of the organization.
  • Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


Experience:

  • Construction experience with a minimum of 3 years is required.
  • Welding experience is a plus.
  • Travel requirements approximately 10%.


Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.


Remote Work: This role will be primarily performed indoors with limited outdoors construction.

If the need arises to work remote, including nights and weekends, employees are expected to work in a secure location to protect company data and have stable high-speed internet.

Additional requirements:

This is a full-time position. Employees are expected to work a general schedule of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. Employees may be required to work beyond the standard schedule to meet the deliverables and expectations of the role.
