Job Summary

Provides technical expertise and coordinates, implements, and develops complex supply chain processes and activities. Ensures timely, secure, and cost-effective supply chain planning, logistics, distribution, capacity and/or inventory activities according to agreed guidelines. May lead a team.

The principal purpose of this position is to insure that adequate finished goods inventory levels are maintained in the designated warehouse or vendor facilities and distribution centers within the Huhtamaki distribution network. This position will require a daily review of inventory status followed by the tasks necessary to replenish inventories based on predetermined quantities. This position will accomplish this objective by processing the appropriate transactions for creating and releasing purchase & DRP orders within the various Huhtamaki ERP systems. This position also reports on inventory levels and shortage reasons as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Monitor and identify requirements for replenishing finished goods inventory to ensure the correct products are in the appropriate facility at the required time to service customers.
  • Generate supplier purchase orders & DRP transfer orders, based on target inventory levels, lead times and physical space limitations.
  • Maintain awareness of Logistics expenditures associated with purchase & DRP orders.
  • Report and monitor aged, excess, and obsolete inventory, ensuring key stakeholders are recommending final disposition and timely actions are being taken.
  • Act as a point of contact for issues for internal stakeholders, including Customer Service, the facilities and Commercial.
  • Research and publish pre-short (proactive) and post-short notifications including shortage reason codes for tracking
  • Report Case Level Fill Rates.

Required

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite & ERP, Planning & BI applications. Experience with database management tools a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of the different Huhtamaki manufacturing processes by technology.
  • Familiar with Huhtamaki product lines.
  • 4-year bachelor’s degree or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • 1 to 3 years in Inventory Coordination / Replenishment, Accounting, Customer Service, Logistics, or Planning role.

Environment

  • Hybrid work environment that mixes in-office and remote work to offer flexibility and support to employees. In-office hours are set by group Manager.
  • Work hours are usually 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. but could require after hours and weekend work to complete projects on time.
