Document Control/Planning Specialist Associate
Principal Responsibilities
• Provide required control of documentation to NPI Package for NPI/ECO Team, i.e., Travelers, FAIR Notice, NPI Review Checklist, Quote, PO, Q-CODES, Engineering Sales Worksheet, Customer drawings, Pictures of Board/Product, Customer specific E-MAILS as waivers, etc., to meet good manufacturing practices in the electronics industry for review.
• Create job travelers and work instructions based on customer drawings and specifications, compute the number of travelers based on lot size, PCBA size, square footage of Spray Carts, Compute the number of Coupons required and prepare accordingly upon release of travelers.
• Ensure timely, accurate and efficient documentation preparation. • Maintains and administers Document and Change Control procedures in compliance with company standard document control procedures, i.e., DCN Procedure for specifications, procedures, forms over two years for automatic review and revision as needed.
• Monitors and tracks the review, approval and distribution of documents to ensure timely completion to meet established timelines, i.e., DCN Procedure for specifications, procedures, forms over two years for automatic review and revision as needed.
• Resolves document control issues of PO Review/Contract Review Checklist findings through collaboration with Quality Assurance, Engineering and Customer Service.
• Responsible for managing online storage of documents, Traveler, DWG, Customer Specifications, Standards, etc..
• Make monthly report for Contract Review Performance Tracking and submit to QA Mgr. and Customer Service in SJ.
Qualifications:
· Located in San Jose
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in Document Control
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
· High School diploma / GED required
· Must read and comprehend English
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
· Demonstrates attention to detail
· Strong organization skills
· Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and procedures
· Familiar with basic component identification of printed circuit boards
· Familiar with reading/interpreting engineering drawing notes and bill of materials
· Use of PDM or other document control application is a plus
· Working knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100 quality management system is a plus
· Working knowledge of ITAR/EAR handling of Technical Data
