The District Director of Student Support Services is responsible for the district wide administration and primary supervision of a comprehensive program of support services in the areas of student health, student assistance, student discipline, school climate/culture, student safety, extracurricular activities, guidance, and student attendance as well as residency/registration. They also serve as the District HIB Coordinator.
Qualifications
NJ School Administrator (CSA) certificate or eligible for same required
Minimum 10 years in education, 5 in administration preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of all issues related to the safe operation of schools
Comprehensive knowledge in all facets of student support programs including school counseling, social-emotional learning, master scheduling, and crisis management
Demonstrate strong knowledge of school law
Demonstrate strong knowledge of school security and emergency management
Demonstrate excellent administrative, organizational and interpersonal skills
Such other qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate
