Job Details
The Inbound Manager is responsible for the overall success distribution center activities relating to inbound process. The inbound processes consist of unloading, receiving, replenishment, and timely put-a-way of all merchandise delivered to the Century Street Distribution Center. The Inbound manager carries out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's quality standards, policies, and applicable laws.
Key Job Elements (Essential Functions Performed)
Provide leadership for safety, continuous improvement, loss prevention, and cost reduction activities associated within the inbound department.
Ensure that all activities meet the outlined quality requirements.
Implement best practices across all inbound distribution center operations.
Through the support of Inbound Supervisors oversee the department’s employee relations to include recruiting, new hire training, and coaching / developing
Ensure all employees production is tracked and managed fairly / consistently on a daily basis.
Evaluate the effectiveness of, and develop alternatives for current work standards, procedures, controls, and staffing to achieve effective and timely processing of freight.
Able to identify potential performance issues / changing business needs and be able to develop solutions.
Review and analyze weekly reports of past / pending receipts as well as research any discrepancies or anomalies.
Remain abreast of new / emerging material handling trends to assist in identifying potential productivity gains.
Professionally interface with other critical areas other production areas, quality, engineering, planning, purchasing, and customer service
