Director Quality Assurance Quality Control

Judge Direct Placement is seeking a degreed Director of Quality in Kansas City, KS! They will be responsible for directing company technical, regulatory/compliance, and strategic leadership for the Quality function. Biotechnology experience required for consideration. The qualified candidate will invent all procedures and policy to cover all aspects of Quality and work with the Plant Managers and Quality Managers to ensure all policies are enforced and abided by. To enforce Quality requirements across the company, the Quality Director will work with other departments. The Quality Director will also be held responsible for ensuring all guidelines are followed.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and enforce Quality Assurance and Quality Control policy and procedure throughout the company
• Cultivate a product testing program that ensures product safety for consumers and complies with all regulations
• Responsible for all performance and activities of the Corporate QA and QC purpose
• Manage internal audit program
• Responsible for all product recalls
• Perform mock recalls for the manufacturing location
• Oversee all customer and consumer complaint responses
• Network with industry organizations to stay ahead of changes and provide additional resources
• Develop working relationships with agencies in regards to QA and QC matters
• Develop metrics for company quality assurance and food safety performance
• Establish quality and product safety reviews
• Create and maintain a global corporate review process

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in biochemistry, chemistry, virology, biology, or a science related field major preferred
• 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing
• 5+ year’s management experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Self-directed with responsibilities
• Proficient in computer software / QMS
