Your Job: The Director of Patient Placement Operations works closely with Methodist Healthcare System (MHS) medical staff, administrators, department heads, nursing STAFFnd outlying facilities and their physicians to coordinate appropriate placement of patients within the system (and hospitals) in a timely manner. Responsible for leading, organizing, inspiring all members of the placement team, and accountability. Supports and promotes the vision, mission, and strategic plans of Methodist Health System Your Job Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field preferred
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
2 years healthcare leadership experience preferred with knowledge of transfer center/hospital operations.
Must have current RN license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas
Works cooperatively with hospital leaders to communicate issues of concern and processes to optimize patient through put
Responsible for ensuring cooperation and positive interaction between the Patient Management Center and physicians, nursing leaders and nursing staff.
Responsible for the 24 hour, day-to-day operations of the Patient Management Center. Oversees and coordinates successful transfer and bed placement of all patients
Builds and maintains a high functioning patient placement team.
Ensures all team members work together to assure all aspects of patient placement occur in an organized and timely manner
Leads the transfer center project operational team in collaboration with the selected software vendor to accomplish all project implementation goals according to proposed project timeline and go-live target date. Your Job Responsibilities:

Must learn and comply with System and facility safety policies and rules; must use appropriate safety equipment and procedures at all times; must immediately report all unsafe conditions to supervisors; must be familiar with all safety features of equipment, tools or materials encompassed by job duties; and must check with supervisors (prior to job performance) if there is a question as to the safe procedure to be used for any job function
