Director of Talent & Learning

Salary $80,000 - $110,000 (DOE)

Schedule: Monday - Friday (Standard business hours)

On-site position (Must be located in Arizona)

The Director of Talent Management is a strategic partner on the People team at Embark Behavioral Health and reports to the Chief People Officer. In this newly created position, you will play a vital role in leading the strategic talent management and learning initiatives through the delivery of content designed to develop and support our employees and enabling leaders to achieve organizational success.

It is strongly preferred that this position is located at Embark's support office in Chandler, AZ. We are open to considering candidates from any location, and relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities

  • Implement workforce development procedures that ensure the company is positioned to support strategic growth plans through a combination of internal promotion and external hiring.
  • Design, deploy and manage a comprehensive learning strategy to build the skills needed to fill existing talent & performance gaps.
  • Reduce clinical turnover through identifying skill gaps and creating targeted learning plans.
  • Conduct analysis of people metrics to recommend strategies for enhancing the employee experience and overall retention of staff.
  • Drive a growth mindset culture through onboarding, development and other learning opportunities that promote an engaged workforce.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to anticipate talent needs, gather requirements and recommend/implement industry leading best practices in talent management - track and report on results; pivot as needed.
  • Hire, develop and manage a remote team.
  • Collaborate with Talent and HR leadership team to develop unified HR solutions.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience within People Operations/HR.
  • Comprehensive understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design, organizational design, learning technologies, change management and employee motivation techniques.
  • Proficiency with learning frameworks and LMS systems, prior experience working with Docebo and Engagedly is beneficial but not essential.
  • HR and L&D certifications are a plus.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to effectively partner with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders, People team and senior leaders in a decentralized learning environment.
