Job Summary:

The Director of Sales is responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve sales targets,

grow market share, and enhance customer relationships. This role involves strategic planning, business

development, and team leadership to drive sales in the industrial sector, including manufacturing,

distribution, and other B2B markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sales Leadership:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed organizational sales goals
  • Identify market opportunities and develop plans to capitalize on them
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions
  • Ability to develop and execute a Business Plan
  • Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the entire Regional Sales Managers and Inside Sales Manager,

Product Manager team and the aligned Sales team members.

  • Set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews
  • Provide training and development opportunities for sales staff
  • Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients
  • Sales Operations:
  • Oversee sales operations and ensure efficient processes
  • Develop and manage sales budgets and forecasts
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
  • Address customer issues and complaints in a timely and effective manner
  • Develop strategies to enhance customer engagement and loyalty
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare regular sales reports and presentations for senior management
  • Use CRM software to track sales activities and customer interactions
  • Analyze sales metrics and KPIs to inform strategic decisions

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or relevant

master’s degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of sales experience in the industrial sector
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
  • Experience in a leadership role, managing a sales team

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools
  • Deep understanding of the industrial market and its dynamics
