Overview: The role will oversee all aspects of procurement and supply chain management across multiple skilled nursing facilities, with a specific focus on optimizing inventory levels.
What you will be doing:
Develop and implement strategic procurement initiatives and inventory management strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality goods and services
Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues or concerns to enhance collaboration and efficiency
Collaborate with finance and other departments to develop and manage budgets related to purchasing and inventory management activities
Monitor spending and implement cost-control measures to achieve financial targets.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in all procurement and inventory management activities
Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with supply chain and inventory to maintain operational continuity
What you need to qualify:
5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in Skilled Nursing
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Proven experience in a procurement role, with a focus on inventory management
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and improving procurement and inventory efficiency
Excellent leadership and team management capabilities
In-depth knowledge of procurement and inventory management software and systems
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in healthcare procurement and inventory management
Experience in contract negotiations relating to vendors, maintenance organizations and GPOs
