Director of Packaging Engineering

LaSalle Network has partnered with a food manufacturing company based in Aurora, IL. Our client is looking to hire a Director of Packaging Engineering to manage strategy throughout the growth the company is seeing.

Director of Packaging Engineering Responsibilities:

• Change management and implementation at all North American plants
• Conduct internal audits, inspections and assessments across site networks
• Develop audit plans, evaluate findings and oversee corrective actions
• Provide coaching, training and support on the implementation of QMS systems at plant level
• Maintain accurate records of FSQA activities
• GFSI standards, AIB, FDA regulations
• Analyze data, identify trends and implement measures to optimize operations and reduce risk at plants

Director of Packaging Engineering Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• 5+ years of experience in FSQA roles
• 3+ years of conducting FSQA audits, inspections risk assessments
• Ability to execute on FSQA and QMS system implementation strategy
• Ability to influence, coach and train plant quality staff on change management in daily operations
• Ability to travel 40-50% internally
• Food manufacturing experience preferred, open to seeing chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing (shelf-life)
