Director of Operations

Recruiting for this is being handled by Corps Team on behalf of our client. This is a full time, direct hire, employee position with excellent benefits. Candidates must be local to the Cape Coral, FL area and able to work on site in the office.

Responsibilities:

The Director of Operations reports to the Chief Operations Officer and is responsible for the day-to-day operational management, planning, coordination, and monitoring of existing operating companies operation’s functions. Primary day to day responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with senior managers in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans.
  • Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives.
  • Draw on relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals.
  • Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
  • Devise strategies for ensuring the growth of programs enterprise-wide and implement process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs.
  • Adhere to the company’s policies and standards and ensure that laws and regulations are being followed.
  • Work with project managers in the development of financial and budgetary plans.
  • Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary.
  • Regularly evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements.
  • Review financial information to meet or exceed budgets or forecasts.
  • Understand and abide by industry set laws and standards.
  • Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors.
  • Plan, coordinate, manage and execute projects by collaborating with both business and external stakeholders.
  • Work to execute and fulfill strategic business plans presented by the CEO and Founder.
  • Communicate with management teams to direct and confirm execution of company processes.
  • Special projects as assigned…wearer of many hats!
  • Meet or exceed operational goals (financial and other metrics) for the year.


Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field. MBA or related Master’s Degree a strong plus.


Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in a senior leadership role in a field related to natural health and wellness industry preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of the health supplement industry regulations and legal guidelines.
  • Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success.
  • Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions, best practices and principles, including customer service, production, and inventory management, retail and wholesale sales.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Ability to streamline or implement structures and roles that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands.
  • Applicable system selection and implementation experience.
  • Experience bringing best practices and best in class systems to an organization.
  • Experience in meeting budgets and business plans.
  • Superior negotiation skills for both internal and external purposes.
  • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Ability to work both independently and partner with cross-functional teams.
  • Highly motivated and capable of managing multiple tasks in a demanding and dynamic work environment.
