All department functions and operations must be managed and achieved in accordance with all federal, NJ standards and guidelines and all other applicable regulatory standards to assure that the highest degree of quality patient care is maintained at all times. Plan, develop. organize, implement, elavluate, and direct the Maintenance Department, its programs and activities. Assist in establishing a preventative maintenance program, prioritize repairs, and manage vendor relationships. Coordinate services that maintain and respond to interuptions in, or threats to facility security, fire prevention, electric, HVAC, plumbing, communications, physical structure, other utilities, and all equipment and appliances. Supervise safety and fire protection and prevention programs by inspecting work areas and equipment. Coordinates repair needs with Facilities Management and other appropriate departments. Assist in the developing and implementing of waste disposal policies and procedures. Directs the responsible care use of supplies, equipment, facilities, etc., and maintains or improves the appearance of all patient, public and private areas. Leads EVS in fulfilling all departmental goals and objectives within budget, with quality of schedule. Performs regular inspections of patient, public and private areas. * Actively partners with various key management staff to ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment. Works closely with Nursing and Bed Management to promptly respond to room request. Assures all EVS staff follows established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies at all times. Responsible for Assisting Administrator with all emergency managment services including develpoment of facility safety manual, staff education, and disaster drills. Perform Administrative duties such as completeing necessary forms, reports, evaluations,studies, etc. Serve on various facility committees, such as safety, infection control, QAPI, etc. Responsible for recruitment, orientation, oversight, evauation, direction, deligation of duites, and fair disciplinary action of department personnel in coordination with the HR director and all facility polices and codes of conduct.
