Community Hospital-Fairfax is a critical access hospital located in Fairfax, MO, serving the Northwest Missouri community. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Director of Laboratory Services at Community Hospital-Fairfax. The Director will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the laboratory department, including managing staff, ensuring quality control, coordinating testing processes, and implementing and maintaining laboratory protocols and procedures. The Director will work closely with other departments and medical staff to provide accurate and timely test results, contribute to patient care, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Experience in a hospital laboratory setting
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality control standards
Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT)
Minimum education includes an associate degree in a laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution. A Bachelor of Science degree in biology science or related field is preferred.
Required experience is at least 2 years of laboratory training or experience, or both, in high complexity testing.
ASCP certification strongly preferred but not required.
Knowledge of principles of management, supervision, and training.
Familiarity with current government, laboratory regulations under CLIA.
Effective communication skills and techniques, word-processing, and basic computer skills.
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and adapt to changing workload
