Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support the mission and programs of MHA
Build and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and foundations to secure financial support
Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns to engage donors and raise awareness
Manage donor stewardship and recognition programs to cultivate long-term relationships and increase donor retention
Collaborate with the Vice President of Development & Community Relations to set fundraising goals and monitor progress towards achieving them
Oversee the development and implementation of grant proposals and reports to secure funding from foundations and government agencies
Ability to travel locally to meet with prospective and established donors
Lead and support a team of development staff to support fundraising efforts and achieve revenue targets
Stay informed about best practices in fundraising and nonprofit management to ensure the success of MHA's development programs
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, fundraising, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of success in securing major gifts, grants, and sponsorships
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with donors and stakeholders
Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Experience supervising staff and volunteers in a nonprofit setting
A commitment to promoting mental wellness in the community
