Job Description

The salary range for this role is $90,000-$110,000 and relocation is available if required

This position is located on the Indiana University Bloomington (IUB) Campus in Bloomington, Indiana. It is a mobile role (requires travel to meet with donors/friends of the University, with mix of on-campus and remote work when not traveling)

Arts & Culture is the beating heart of Indiana University. On any given day, you can find yourself dancing along at concert, crying at a play, counting brushstrokes in an art gallery, or digging deep into history in our libraries and archives. To continue elevating this vibrant campus, IU Bloomington is seeking a Director of Development with a passion for Arts & Culture.

In this role, you will develop and execute a robust and proactive fundraising strategy to increase support for Libraries, University Collections, IU Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology (IUMAA), Cinema, African American Arts Institute, and other aspects of Arts & Culture. As Director of Development, you will create and lead the strategic direction for a comprehensive and coordinated development program that includes all aspects of fundraising, including annual fund, corporate and foundation relations, planned giving, and major and principal gifts (with emphasis on major gift fundraising.)

Being a leader who can curate a culture of philanthropy by building bridges from donors, alumni, and friends of the University to the IUB campus community is essential. To help you find success in your role, you’ll have the partnership of many teams at IUF (Annual Giving, Advancement Marketing, Donor Relations, Prospect Research & Management, and more), as well as faculty, staff, and students across campus. By building long-term relationships with donors, business leaders, and other friends of the University, you’ll ‘Bring on Tomorrow,’ creating new opportunities for Arts & Culture at Indiana University for many years to come!

IUF looks for opportunities to help you level up through trainings, conferences, classes, and certifications that will directly improve your skillset. We want to invest in you! Grow your career and help further the mission of maximizing private support for Indiana University. Apply today!
