Summary
The Director Applications & Development reports to the Vice President Applications & Development and
assists with providing technical expertise and guidance to IT development teams for the ongoing
development, deployment, and maintenance of applications. The candidate will have a record of success in
improving processes and adoption using the latest tools and platforms. The Director of Applications &
Development position will work closely with functional leaders, business units, and subject matter experts in
developing solutions. This position will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the SDLC, including data
migrations, data quality, systems integrations, 3rd party applications, and custom code.

- Lead development projects to develop Tools and Operating systems that support the Lexitas Services
- Lead development teams with technical expertise and guidance
- Work directly with Business leadership and Operations leadership to develop effective features and tools
- Skilled in Agile software development practices
- Develop and manage all relevant project artifacts
- Ownership of all technical development aspects of applications, including data migrations, data quality,
- Responsible for building customized solutions that support business requirements and drive key
Visualforce, Apex, Java, SQL/TSQL, And Other Technologies As Required
- Technical leadership, setting best practices, including integration and application development,
- Seek out ways to improve processes and productivity and make recommendations to support an
- Define, communicate, and manage change management (release) processes to develop and implement
- Create workflow diagrams and charts to demonstrate the application functionality
- Work independently or with team to find creative, innovative solutions to problems
- Perform regular audits to identify application inefficiencies and design ways to improve workflow
- Write and continually update documentation for all programs for internal and external reference
- Assist R&D Leadership with any other duties as assigned
- Work with IT to optimize usage of Cloud Services(AWS/Azure) to reduce costs
- The design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing or modification of computer systems
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on all applications, systems, and processes
- Understands the workflow and process requirements of complex application systems
- Demonstrated ability to be the subject matter expert in complex applications
- Excellent problem solving/analytical skills, and knowledge of programming tools
- Excellent verbal, written communication, data presentation and negotiations skills
- Demonstrated soft skills required such as presentation of ideas and clearly articulate the concepts to
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding attention to detail with superior time and technical project management skills
- Ability to learn new content areas and new skills quickly
- Strong business analysis and functional experience, including requirements gathering,
Education / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 10+ years of programming and/or leading programming & development teams
- 5+ years of providing technical expertise and guidance to development teams in web or SaaS products
- Proficiency in HTML5, .NET CORE, React.js, ASP.NET, C#, ASP, PHP, WordPress, JavaScript, Visualforce,
Bootstrap
- A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion
- A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements
- Previous experience leading a SCRUM team
- Deep understanding of Software Development Lifecycle
- Secure development practices
- Strong understanding of relational databases
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines that include tools such as Jira, Trello and Bitbucket
- Experience with cloud (AWS & Azure) and containerization (Kubernetes & Docker)
