What we do:

The FRBNY's Markets Group conducts monitoring and analysis of financial market developments to support the Federal Reserve's policy objectives. We are looking for a Specialist to join our Capital Markets team. This team monitors and analyzes developments across domestic capital markets and financial institutions to help inform the formulation, implementation, and transmission of monetary policy, and the assessment of risks to financial stability.

Your role as Digital Assets Markets Specialist:

  • Monitor and analyze developments associated with digital assets and decentralized finance to produce high-quality written analysis that connects developments in these markets to broader financial markets, monetary policy, financial stability, and the macro economy.
  • Contribute to policy analysis on issues pertinent to these developments.
  • Interface extensively with market participants to obtain market intelligence and collaborate with stakeholders throughout the Federal Reserve.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience analyzing digital asset markets and ability to identify market themes relevant for the objectives of the Federal Reserve.
  • Ability to convey complex subject matter to senior audiences.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills including substantial knowledge of financial instruments, market structure, and monetary policy.
  • Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with datasets relevant for digital assets markets.

Salary Range:

NY: $155400 - $230000 / year

Chicago: $136800 - $202400 / year
