Digital Analytics Business Analyst

Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Digital Analytics Business Analyst for a contract position in Reston, VA.  Opportunity will be one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Position Summary: 
The Digital Analytics Business Analyst will work with the Data Analytics team, regional marketing leads, agencies and stakeholders across the organization to document marketing measurement business requirements and technical solutions for data collection, reporting, dashboards, analysis, and data privacy in order to drive insight, efficiency, and efficacy across client's websites and marketing activities.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
  • Facilitates cookie consent management (OneTrust) implementation/testing process and associated documentation.
  • Documents data collection, A/B testing, reporting, dashboard, data integration, and data privacy business requirements in multiple formats (PPT, Excel, Confluence) for different audiences (business stakeholder, technical implementation team, and data analysts) to ensure we are getting the most value out of our data.
  • Facilitates digital analytics-related communications plans and task tracking/timelines for deliverables in Jira and Confluence.
  • Facilitates data collection, media tagging, and data integration quality assurance testing process and documentation.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to define and improve processes for operational efficiency.
  • Assists with reporting and dashboard creation, as needed.
  • Facilitates day-to-day collaboration with Marketing and other stakeholders throughout the organization to cultivate relationships, define business problems, develop plans, and recommend solutions related to the collection and use of data.

  • The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Bachelors or master's degree or equivalent work experience in Business Analytics, Marketing, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or other relevant quantitative fields is required
  • 5 years of related experience in intermediate to advanced digital analysis and research
  • Advanced:
  • Experience creating technical documentation and communicating with stakeholders with varied levels of technical understanding
  • Excel and PowerPoint skills Advanced
  • Intermediate/Advanced:
  • Experience creating timelines and tracking deliverables - Intermediate/Advanced
  • Intermediate:
  • Adobe Experience Cloud/Omniture SiteCatalyst, Adobe Workspace, Adobe DataWarehouse, Adobe Launch
  • Google Analytics, Google Ads
  • Strong technical understanding of current and emerging internet technologies, digital marketing, data analysis methodologies, market research resources/tools/methodologies, and the operations of a corporate website
  • Excellent understanding of UX concepts, basic website design and development
  • Experience with media drivers such as Display, SEM, Social, Content Marketing
  • Beginning/Intermediate:
  • Experience with data privacy compliance, cookie consent management implementation, and details related to the function/purpose of cookies
  • Data analysis, interpretation, data visualization, and communication skills
  • Experience with Oracle/Tableau or equivalent database or visualization tools
  • Understanding and experience with statistical concepts and methods such as regression modeling (linear and random forest), ANOVA, probability distributions, and Hypothesis Testing
  • Programming Languages and Skill Level:
  • Beginning/Intermediate:
  • JavaScript
  • SQL for data extraction
  • Python, R for modeling and data analysis
