Role: DevOps Engineer with Backstage.IO expertise

Location: Austin TX-Remote

Duration: 6+ Months

Job Description

We basically need a Devops engineer who has experience in setting up and building developer platforms using backstage.

Here is the JD which I created based on the inputs from the client.

  • Design and develop custom components, plugins, and integrations within the Backstage.io platform.
  • Collaborate with architects and product managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Customize and extend the Backstage.io framework to meet specific business needs, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Implement UI/UX enhancements and design intuitive user interfaces for custom business processes like the onboarding and support processes.
  • Integrate Backstage.io with AWS services
  • Knowledge of Python, Github Actions and GitOps will be helpful.
  • Develop and maintain APIs to integrate with external systems and automate processes.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform
  • Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability of the Backstage.io platform through code reviews, testing, and optimization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Backstage.io implementation, integrations, and performance.
