DevOps Engineer Lead
Looking for a creative problem solver that’s passionate about building a team capable of supporting complex cloud systems, managing development pipelines and using modern automation tools and processes to enable high productivity, high-quality results. This is a critical role, as the DevOps Lead you will be responsible for managing automation and infrastructure related to Development Operations, resource alignment and workload. This role is hands-on technical in nature and not solely managerial.
We are looking for a dynamic person who shares our passion and work ethic and thrives on technical challenges. We are currently working to continue the modernization of our Infrastructure and Development efforts to better serve our internal teams, our customers, and the company as a whole.
This is a direct hire role, with onsite requirements/ weekly hybrid- 3 days in office in the Kannapolis/Concord NC, conveniently located off Interstate 85
Full-time salary plus bonus - $150,000 - $170,000
Managing operations and support of assigned programs and applications. Working to transform the Dev Ops team into a highly automated and efficient environment. Design and manage CI/CD pipelines that integrate with AWS and other services Design and deploy infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible etc. Automate migrations, deployments, integration, and testing. Experience with AWS, database, and Linux administration Work closely with AWS Cloud Services: S3, IAM, Lambda, EC2, etc. Deliver high quality, well-written code that is easily supported and maintainable Architecting, scaling, and migrating systems from on-prem to Cloud. Cross function technical and communication skills to help the organization succeed Evaluate the trade-offs of different solutions to maximize performance and time-to-marketability to self-manage timelines and communicate progress to the rest of the team and provide feedback, health metrics, and reports on core services
Requirements
Experience managing a team of technical resources is a must.
4-year bachelor’s degree (preferred) majoring in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related business field.
5+ years’ experience in development operations (required).
Experience managing a team of technical resources is a must.
Demonstrated competency with the following AWS services: ALB, ECR, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, EC2, CloudWatch, SQS, Lambda, and API Gateway.
Familiarity with backend web applications such as Java or Node.js.
Working with Git, Continuous Integration (Jenkins), and familiar with Agile development methods.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or JavaScript.
The ability to create and write quality, documented practices (required).
Hands-on experience with Ci/CD tools, Jenkins, Docker, and Terraform.
Demonstrated competency with the following AWS services: ALB, ECR, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, EC2, CloudWatch, SQS, Lambda, API Gateway etc.
Proficient in Python scripting.
Experience using Git, JIRA, Docker, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies.
Familiarity with backend web applications: Java, Node.js, etc.
Working with Git, Continuous Integration (Jenkins), and Agile development processes
Experience with scripting languages, e.g., Python, Bash, JavaScript.
High-quality documentation experience and ability practices are a must.
