Our client, a fast-growing Software as a Service leader in their industry, is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in supporting enterprise multi-tenant cloud applications across a global, multi-AZ AWS environment. This role is fully remote for candidates residing in approved states and offers a chance to drive innovation across their fastest-growing product lines.
Role: DevOps Engineer
Location: Fully remote within approved states
Type: Full-time, Exempt
Salary: $90,000 - $130,000 base plus 401k match, generous PTO, paid training, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Deployment and Integration: Deploy product updates, identify and resolve production issues, and implement integrations to meet customer needs within short sprints and a consistent work pace.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside other DevOps Engineers, Developers, Quality Assurance Engineers, and DBAs in a cross-functional team environment.
Innovation Driver: Drive innovation across key product lines, leveraging your background in software engineering and DevOps practices.
Scripting and Automation: Utilize Bash, Python, or other scripting languages to write efficient scripts for automating tasks and improving operational efficiency.
Required Experience:
Prior experience as a Software Engineer.
3-7 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
Extensive experience with Linux systems (Debian/Ubuntu preferred).
Strong proficiency in AWS, including cloud networking (transitive routing, site-to-site network establishment, segmented account networking).
Proficiency in Python (preferred) or Bash scripting.
Familiarity with deployment/management tools like Jenkins, AWS SSM, Rundeck, etc.
Problem-solving attitude and collaborative team spirit.
Ability to work outside traditional hours as needed.
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with Windows DSC.
Experience with NoSQL databases, especially DynamoDB and/or Redis.
Knowledge of serverless architecture (Lambda, API Gateways, Cloudfront) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, and CloudFormation.
Prior software development experience in a Microsoft tech stack.
