CTO - "Clara" (AI healthcare companion for older adults)

Clara:

Clara is a smart companion designed to help older adults on their healthcare journey. This digital health experience is powered by conversational AI with broad context to help support daily tasks and goals and deliver improved health outcomes. The company emphasizes human centered design to deliver a highly engaging consumer experience, integrated with the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with the CEO as a thought-leader and driver of strategy, communicating the technical vision to investors, customers, and partners
• Develop and own all technical aspects of Clara's strategy
• Translate our strategy into an achievable roadmap and action plan
• Build a world-class technical team, assessing the specific skills and qualities we need
• Budget for, hire and manage a team of developers
• Lead by example by being hands-on and actively involved in the development process, including the ability and willingness to write and review production-level code as needed
• Act as a champion for our values and as a source of mentorship and growth
• Provide management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments
• Bring a strong sense of empathy to the development of the AI stack, ensuring that it embodies a personality that is friendly, dependable, proactive, and empathetic
  
  

Qualifications:

• Passion for developing design-driven consumer technology experiences
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience (including production SAAS products, distributed cloud services, and exposure to ML/AI).
• Experience in the following is a plus:
• Multi-channel messaging systems (including text, email, and voice)
• Personalization engines
• AI prompt engineering
• Generative AI product development experience
• Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
• Familiarity with the current AI foundation model landscape
• Building and integrating experiences in a regulated environment
• 5+ years of team management experience
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Ability and experience scaling a company
