The 107/234 Crew Chief supervises field crew in maintaining a large helicopter, its component parts, and the ground support equipment needed for the project.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities –
Responsible overall for maintaining the aircraft to ensure airworthy condition.
60%: Supervises maintenance crew performing repairs and inspections of aircraft and support equipment. This includes scheduling and conducting major component changes and test flights and coordinating crew and equipment movement and logistics for aircraft operation from site to site.
15%: Performs maintenance activities on aircraft and support equipment.
10%: Ensures that all log books and forms recording the work performed are accurate and are maintained to FAA and Company standards.
10%: Provides on the job training to other employees.
5%: Schedules work shifts for crew members.
Performs work safely and utilizes the appropriate technical data for the assigned tasks.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications And Experience
Supervisor or management experience preferred with demonstrated leadership skills and ability to train and coach employees
Minimum A&P certificate required
Minimum of two years’ experience as Assistant Crew Chief, preferably on 107 and 234 helicopters
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present ideas, concepts, and proposals with a wide range of audiences at all levels, both internal and external to the Company
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to access all portions of aircraft for maintenance and inspection purposes
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
