Achieve Capital Partners, LLC is a vertically integrated real estate investment company aimed at growing its assets under management. The areas of focus are multifamily residential properties and capital lending to investors.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our expanding organization as a Controller. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Controller will play a crucial role in managing the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, payables, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation. This position is designed to support our growth, and we are looking for a talented professional with strong accounting experience and a passion for streamlining processes and leading a team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent multitasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with business leaders.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain multiple sets of books for the operating entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Oversee the accounting team who are responsible for payables, receivables/collections, payroll, and budget preparation
• Coordinate the monthly closing of books, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting within a 5 - 10 day period at the beginning of each month
• Cashflow forecasting and management
• Overseeing payroll processing
• Prepares and oversees the preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets
• Prepares and oversees the preparation the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
• Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return. This entails working with our CPA team
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering their professional development and ensuring a high standard of work
• Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus
• 7 - 10 years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, with experience in managing multiple sets of books
• Experience in real estate is not required but highly desirable
• CPA certification is not required but highly desirable
• Demonstrated experience managing and leading a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
• Proficient in leveraging technology to automate processes and enhance efficiency, with a strong understanding of financial systems and tools
• Proficiency in managing QuickBooks Online for multiple entities
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
• A proactive problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities may shift rapidly
