Responsibilities

  • You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports
  • Serve as an accounting lead for transactions related to Alphabet and its subsidiaries
  • key accounting and report issues for US GAAP, local statutory, and tax are reflected correctly
  • Ensure day-to-day operations, including maintaining/enhancing financial statement close processes and SOX controls
  • Oversee and deliver high-quality presentations that effectively communicate integration strategy and tie the strategies together into a cohesive story
  • Create key issues visible to executive leadership, and partner with different levels of leadership for problem solving and decision making on these key issues
  • Make cross-functional relationships to support various company-wide initiatives, and apply high-energy and effective communication
  • Engage and inspire a diverse organization and hold teams accountable for result


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or equivalent practical experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • Public Accounting experience a plus
  • 10 years of experience in accounting related functions, or 8 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance, focused on GAAP standards for consolidations, VIE assessment, investments, and structured finance
  • Must move fast while keeping your attention to detail, and you tap into your problem-solving skills to support business objectives
  • As a Corporate Accounting Manager, you will utilize skills from accounting (i.e., technical and operating accounting, system implementations, communication, cross-functional engagement (e.g., Controllership, Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax, and Engineering), project management, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and skills to manage, build, and develop an accounting process)
