Controller - Retail / Hospitality

We are working with a really exciting and high growth luxury retail firm as they look for a Controller for their North America operations.

This investor backed firm has operations across the US, Europe and Asia, with innovative and market leading products and a very loyal customer base. The North America operation accounts for 40% of total group revenues and presents a massive opportunity for growth.

This role, reporting straight into the Group CFO, will have oversight of and responsibility for all accounting, statutory reporting and controllership for the entire North America business.

The role is a healthy mix of BAU, process and controls improvement and technical accounting, and will provide the incumbent the chance to really make it their own. The new CFO is keen to hire someone who will enjoy rolling their sleeves up and getting into the weeds, as they look to identify controls and reporting weaknesses, improve rigour and tighten accounting processes.

Over time, there is an opportunity to take on finance/FP&A, and to grow your team and responsibility as the business grows and acquires.

The ideal candidate will fit most or all of the below:

• Proven Accounting Manager or Controller in a retail environment
• Strong hands on accounting and controllership skills
• CPA licence preferred, but not essential
• Experience of stock accounting, retail accounting, stat reporting
• Proven controls, systems, process improvement skills
• Excellent interpersonal effectiveness
