Controller/Director Finance

Firm: $30B+ Private Equity Fund

Title: Controller/Director Finance (exact title TBD)

Reporting to: CFO

Overview:

This Senior Finance Professional will be responsible for performing daily finance & accounting functions for the Americas private equity funds, including Buyout, Growth and Latin America funds. Additionally, the professional is expected to help coordinate valuation, investor services, and tax compliance related to the funds.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, coordinate with, and oversee third-party outsourced fund administrator (including providing timely/accurate transaction information to the administrator, reviewing work of fund administrator).

• Assist in the preparation and review of fund, general partner and co-investor financial statements, including partner capital account statements

• Assist with quarterly and annual closings, including audit requests, IRR calculations, and Carried Interest calculations

• Assist with capital calls and distributions for the Funds and related entities

• Assist in the invoice allocation and approval process

• Assist with responding to investor requests

• Support the tax team with information to prepare tax reporting

• Ensure accounting and reporting functions are consistent with partnership agreements and side letters.

• Analyze and interpret deal documentation for purchases/sales related to financial reporting

• Provide ad hoc reporting and analyses as requested

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in audit, fund administration and/or direct private equity fund experience.

• Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred but not required

• Strong knowledge of private equity accounting
