Controller

The Intersect Group is partnering with a leading integrated real estate development and management company located in Atlanta, GA currently looking for a Controller to join their team. The organization is dedicated to serving underserved communities, has an excellent C-Suite team, and a collaborative environment.

***Applicants must currently be located within a commutable distance to Atlanta, GA.

Salary: $135K - $145K

• Plus a revenue share program that pays out annually

Responsibilities:

• Oversee property accounting for 90 properties, managing ~$85M in revenue
• Manage month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution
• Supervise 5 direct reports for daily transactions and journal entries
• Perform monthly variance analysis
• Assist in quarterly and annual audits
• Prepare monthly financial statements
• Ensure GAAP compliance
• Provide financial support to Property and Facility Management teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting
• 7+ years of progressive property accounting experience (multi-family preferred)
• 2-3 years of people management experience with 4+ direct reports
• OneSite / Real Page, Sage, or Yardi systems experience
• GAAP compliance
• Experience engaging with Property Managers on a consistent basis
• Must be willing to be in the weeds
