Addison group has partnered with an industry leader in search of a Controller (available due to promotion) for our clients' fastest growing division in the US.


Our client is seeking a highly skilled Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The Controller will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's financial health and will report directly to the VP of Finance. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset to make a significant impact within our organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Support the V.P. of Finance in providing financial management expertise to the operating division as well as to the corporate financial organization
  • Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation preferred.
  • Proven working experience as a Controller or similar role.
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
  • Advanced degree in Accounting, CPA, or MBA preferred.
  • Public accounting experience is HIGHLY preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to direct and supervise.
