As the TikTok Content Specialist you will be an integral part of our marketing efforts for our entire catalog of new and bestselling games. You will work directly with the Heads of Marketing to build our brand and our audience of millions of friends and families getting together for the best Friday night ever! We’re looking for someone with a passion for creating content, being in front of the camera, who possesses strong video editing skills, a positive attitude, and a creative mind.

Reports To: MARKETING DIRECTOR
Content Creation - 70%
Concept and execute engaging content across all DSS TikTok channels
Act as face of the brand through on-screen face-to-camera and interview-style TikTok video content
Take lead with all content creation and filming in-office, at retail, and at planned photo shoots
Handle all post-production editing of iPhone video content, sharing to TikTok with approval from Marketing Leads
Exceptional copywriting and communication that fits the brand personality, tone and voice; demonstrated ability to optimize messages for audiences on TikTok
Develop and execute TikTok LIVE strategy with a focus on increasing sales on TikTok Shop
Drive increased engagement and brand affinity across our TikTok channels through community management
Monitor and react quickly to culturally relevant TikTok trends
Support Marketing leads with all content projects – including creative development/conception, pre-production planning, budgeting, production/shooting, post-production, and delivery of content
Work with Marketing Leads to coordinate and produce Quarterly product & lifestyle photoshoots
Coordinate additional content shoots as needed to hit content goals, highlighting important products, etc.
Content Strategy & Reporting - 20%
Enhance our existing TikTok presence, bringing innovative ideas to the table
Stay up to date on TikTok best practices, sharing with Marketing leads and creatively incorporating them into content
Collaborate closely with the Marketing leads to align content with overall brand messaging, visuals, product launches and campaigns
Create and share monthly content calendar with Marketing leads to ensure content focus aligns with current business goals
Bring DSS Games’ relatable, playful and humorous brand to life on our TikTok channels
Track monthly content performance, and present monthly recap to Marketing Leads
Affiliate Management - 10%
Scale and manage the TikTok Shop affiliate program to secure more influencer placements on this channel
Handle daily communications with affiliates, ensuring they receive samples and are set to share content
Engage with affiliate content, reporting back on major highlights/key takeaways
Minimum qualifications:
Very comfortable creating content in front of the camera, a natural entertainer
Passionate about small businesses with an entrepreneurial spirit
Proactive + Self starter
1-2 years' experience creating content for brands
TikTok experience a must
Up to date on social trends, evolving social channels & features
Proficient in iPhone videography and short form social video editing [overall content creation]
Reliable transportation and ability to film local content in San Diego 2-3 days per week
Preferred qualifications:
Influencer marketing experience a plus
BA in Marketing or related field
Confident speaking in public places, in interview-like settings, and on camera
