Job Description
The Construction Scheduler - Local Construction - Charleston will be responsible for:
Develop comprehensive project schedules based on project requirements, scope, and resource availability. Utilize scheduling software (such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar) to create detailed schedules with tasks, durations, dependencies, and milestones.
Regularly update and maintain project schedules throughout the construction lifecycle. Monitor progress, identify deviations from the plan, and adjust schedules as necessary to mitigate delays and ensure project objectives are met.
Coordinate with project teams to allocate resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors. Ensure resources are allocated optimally to support the project schedule and meet project
Identify potential schedule risks and constraints, such as weather conditions, regulatory requirements, material availability, and labor shortages. Develop contingency plans and strategies to mitigate risks and minimize disruptions to the project schedule.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between project stakeholders, including project managers, contractors, subcontractors, and clients. Provide regular updates on project schedules, progress, and any schedule-related issues or concerns.
Ensure that project schedules adhere to quality standards and best practices. Conduct regular reviews and audits of project schedules to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to project schedules, including schedule reports, progress reports, change orders, and any other relevant documentation. Ensure all documentation is organized, accessible, and compliant with project requirements

The Successful Applicant
The Construction Scheduler - Local Construction - Charleston will have:
at least 3+ years of construction experience
a Bachelor's Degree (ideally in an Engineering or Construction Management focus)
experience creating schedules for ground-up projects
degree in construction or related field preferred
experience using scheduling software
excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
strong organizational skills
