In this dynamic role, you'll oversee construction activities on behalf of our clients, diligently monitoring contractor regulatory and contract safety compliance. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to safety will be instrumental as you perform daily safety reviews and inspections, ensuring adherence to all current OSHA requirements and BuildLACCD's Standard Operating Procedures. As a trusted member of our team, you'll attend construction meetings, lead safety discussions, and provide valuable insights to support our Program Safety Manager. Requirements
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bring over a decade of construction safety expertise to the table
Showcase your leadership with at least five years of successfully managing multiple projects at various stages of construction across different job sites
Demonstrate your hands-on field experience as a Construction Safety Consultant, collaborating closely with both General Contractors and Subcontractors
Have a minimum of five years of experience working with OCIP, ensuring comprehensive understanding and implementation
Possess at least five years of in-depth familiarity with DSA regulations, ensuring compliance and safety across the board
Bring at least half a decade of experience in Safety Management for Public Sector Construction, showcasing your dedication to community safety
Hold current certifications, including 40-Hour HAZWOPER, OSHA 500, and First Aid/CPR/AED, demonstrating your commitment to safety standards
Be certified as a Safety Management Specialist (SMS) by BCSP or hold a Certified Safety Manager Construction (CSMC) certificate by NASP, showcasing your expertise
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and related spreadsheet and database software, ensuring efficient documentation and reporting
Preferred Qualifications:
A degree in construction management, safety management, safety engineering, or related fields would be a plus, highlighting your commitment to continuous learning and growth
Showcase your expertise in modernization-type projects involving asbestos and lead-based paint disturbance, reflecting your versatility and adaptability
Bring extensive knowledge and experience in senior safety management, especially with large building programs across multiple sites, showcasing your leadership capabilities
Possess additional safety/health certifications and credentials relevant to the position, demonstrating your ongoing dedication to excellence and best practices in safety management
