WHAT WE’RE OFFERING

The Construction Project Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Construction Project Coordinators.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required.

  • Supervise all Project Coordinators and provide guidance for project timeline adherence.
  • Ensure all Project Coordinators adhere to United Safety and Code of Conduct Policies.
  • Set and maintain staffing schedules for system coverage during regular business hours as well as on-call for after-hours concerns.
  • Analyze risks and opportunities and provide solutions where applicable.
  • Respond to customer concerns.
  • Communicate with Project Manager, OSP Manager or Engineers regarding concerns about construction design or progress.
  • Attend and participate in stakeholder meetings; ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
  • Adhere to industry-specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable.
  • Provide subcontractors with information and support, as outlined within contract specifications, to allow work to proceed as scheduled.
  • Review all invoicing for accuracy and timely submission.
  • Work with Warehouse to ensure project material levels are adequate for project completion.
  • Monitor project workflow using project management software and advise on improvements or corrections where needed.
  • Supervise project inspections to ensure work invoiced is accurate to work performed.
  • Provide feedback to Engineers relative to new developments not currently in design.
  • All other duties assigned by Project Manager or Director of Construction.


WHAT YOU BRING

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years Construction work experience preferred.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines.
  • Ability to read general to complex system layouts from blueprints.
  • Knowledge of NESC aerial and UG requirements as well as understanding of State and local regulations for working within their right of ways.
