Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Motiv. We are seeking an experienced and visionary developer to act as Motiv's CTO and be a co-founder of Motiv. This role will start out taking on the tasks of a Senior Developer, and will gradually expand into a more traditional CTO role as the startup scales and expands. This is NOT a traditional CTO position. The CTO will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the company, driving technological innovation, and ensuring the alignment of technology strategies with Motiv’s business goals. This role is pivotal in leading our product development, technology infrastructure, and ensuring our platform's security and scalability. The CTO will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day tasks related to software development, project management, IT strategy, architecture, and product development. The role is primarily located in Cincinnati, OH, but offers flexibility for some remote work.
Qualifications
Experience in React Native stack for front end development
Experience with GraphQL API stack on a PostgreSQL database
Mobile app and software development, project management, and product development skills
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and data privacy
Experience in IT strategy and architecture
Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a VERY fast-paced and dynamic environment
Experience in the sports industry is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferable but not required
Must be available to work full-time and prioritize the company
