Overview: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cloud Security Administrator to join our cybersecurity team. As a Cloud Security Administrator, you will be responsible for securing our organization's cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cloud-based resources. You will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining cloud security controls, monitoring for security threats, and responding to incidents to protect our data and systems hosted in the cloud. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the overall cybersecurity posture of our organization in a dynamic and rapidly evolving cloud environment.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Cloud Security Management:
    • Design, implement, and manage cloud security measures and controls across cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
    • Configure and monitor cloud security tools and technologies (e.g., IAM, Cloud Security Posture Management tools, CASB).
    • Implement secure cloud architecture and best practices to protect cloud-based resources.
  • Vulnerability Management:
    • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on cloud infrastructure and services.
    • Identify and remediate cloud security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
    • Collaborate with cloud service providers and IT teams to apply security patches and updates.
  • Incident Response and Investigation:
    • Respond to cloud security incidents, including conducting forensic analysis and root cause analysis.
    • Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures specific to cloud security incidents.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and cloud service providers/vendors during incident resolution.
  • Security Policy and Compliance:
    • Develop, implement, and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and guidelines.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and industry standards related to cloud security.
    • Provide guidance and training to IT teams on cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Monitor cloud security metrics, logs, and alerts to detect and respond to security events and anomalies.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of cloud security assessments, policies, procedures, and configurations.
    • Prepare and present cloud security reports and metrics to management and stakeholders.
Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Security Administrator, Cloud Security Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience with cloud security tools and technologies (e.g., IAM, Cloud Security Posture Management tools, CASB).
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) relevant to cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
