Chief Technology Officer

Quanterix is revolutionizing biomarker analysis to advance precision health, leveraging Simoa technology for ultra-sensitive protein detection. This transformative technology aims to enable earlier disease detection, better prognoses, and precise treatments, with goal of significantly improving quality of life and longevity. Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Chief Technology Officer. This pivotal role is designed for a seasoned professional skilled at driving technology strategy, and innovation. Must have a proven track record in leading the development of detection solution platforms and assay instrumentation. This role is in Billerica, MA reporting to the CEO.

What You'll Do

• Assess current technology capabilities, resources, and product development processes, develop a strategic roadmap, and execute plans to enhance company objectives.
• Possess industry expertise in the Life Science, Tooling or Biotech sector, staying abreast of market trends and technological advancements.
• Drive feature development and releases, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality improvements and innovative solutions,
• Proven experience in technology leadership roles, with a track record of assessing, strategizing, and implementing technology initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives and investors.
• Hands-on experience with various technologies and a willingness to dive into technical details when necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to build and develop teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, or Molecular Biology
• Experience developing concepts and build to commercial product
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with dependencies to cross-functional teams,
• Track record of innovative and impactful research including peer-reviewed publications
• Ability to effectively interact and communicate with multidisciplinary scientists, both internally and externally, excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills essential
• Strong industry networks
• Direct experience with Simoa technology or related ultra-sensitive detection technology
• Expertise preferred in chemistry, biology, neurology, and oncology,
