Role: Chemist I
Location: Scarborough, ME
Duration: 06 Months on W2
Shift Timings: 12 PM - 10:30 PM
Description
This is a bench chemist role, tech MFG environment with requirements for PPE, CPE, long lab coats, surgical face masks every day
MFG in aseptic environment, pipetting & measuring, being familiar with SOP's. client will provide much trng but basic bench chemistry skills expected
Education
Bachelor's Degree with science experience required, or Associates Degree with minimum of 2-3 yrs. exp. Engineering is a related field they often see
At minimum - academic setting, lab experience med device MFG lab setting, sterile environment.
Master's Degree - would be a good fit as all operators do root cause analysis and troubleshooting assay
Academic experience in a lab is also ok, with organic chem background or molecular lab, things that would require measurement and specificity.
Skills
Ability to read and follow SOPs as this is a med device MFG co, documentation, high attention to detail and accuracy of work
Reliability
Pipetting skills - ability to provide that accurately. Initial coaching provided, but should have some existing skills and abilities in this area
