Job Overview: The Catering Supervisor at the US House of Representatives will effectively serve as a point of contact for events such as caterings, reservations, bookings and other services. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position.
General Responsibilities:
• Serves as a point of contact for reservations, bookings, equipment, catering and other such services.
• Is the first point of contact for internal and external clients via phone and email.
• Performs administrative tasks such as arranging meetings, printing orders, creating food labels, and general data entry
• Coordinates logistics, setup/knockdown and on-site problem resolution.
• Creation and distribution of BEOs (Banquet Event Orders)
• Answers incoming phone calls and manages reception area.
• Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
• Supervises onsite events
• Greets clients upon arrival and assist with any guest needs
• Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
• Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Qualifications: Experience/Knowledge:
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Hospitality or administrative experience preferred.
• Strong typing & professional communication skills required.
20-40 Hours a Week
Estimated Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 / year
