As a Carrier Sales Representative in our startup environment, you'll immerse yourself in the fast-paced brokerage realm, devising cost-effective logistics solutions to meet our customers' needs. You'll cultivate relationships with carriers, manage your portfolio, and drive growth through constant communication and innovative issue resolution. What you'll do:
Strategically build a portfolio of carriers to ensure service and commitment to our customers
Develop and build on negotiations skills
Negotiate pricing for both spot and contracted freight
While covering freight, become a master communicator on any potential service disruptions
Daily KPIs to be met like Outbound calls, on-time service, proactive tracking and more.
Strategically source carrier capacity from internal and external databases
Analyze market trends and capacity fluctuations to inform decision-making
Requirements
Strong work ethic, reliability, and self-motivation to achieve sales targets
Ability to thrive in a collaborative and performance-driven environment
Driven by personal growth and motivated by achieving results
Previous sales or some carrier sales
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a knack for building rapport
Capacity to effectively manage multiple priorities
