Senior Manager of Shared Services at Simulab Corporation

We are looking for a CAD designer to join our Engineering team. This role will be primarily responsible for designing and making production grade molds. The candidate will work closely with engineers and the tooling department to develop tooling for all new and existing products. This candidate will need to be creative to develop complex molds and parts to ensure we make reliable finished components that mimic the human body.

Candidates must be able to move past the computer and be able to physically assemble and create their designs using standard shop tools as well.

The Role:

The CAD Designer will learn many new skill sets including organic 3D CAD, mold design, additive manufacturing, prototype fabrication and RTV casting. This role is critical to support both the Tooling and Production departments. Designing can be a fun and rewarding job, but it still comes with paperwork. You will be responsible for creating all production work instructions, as well as develop all the BOM’s and track all vendor-supplied parts for your designs. The hired candidate will soon find out that continuous learning is part of the daily life at Simulab and that before long, you will find yourself the resident expert in casting and mold making materials, additive manufacturing technologies, and tool/mold design. Join our team and help save lives with new and innovative products that train medical personnel worldwide!
