Job Summary:

Use Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to develop conceptual 3D master layouts. Under the direction of the Project Engineer or Engineering Manager, independently create designs that will conform to Project/Product Requirements. Work efficiently, maintaining and controlling workflow, so that drawings are completed in compliance with schedules determined by the Project Engineer or Engineering Manager. Initiate and/or revise 3D model files as required by the product/project. Create 2D detail drawings from your designs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Principle responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work in Inventor- a 3D mechanical CAD design software to design and assembler products.
  • Build of Material-go to the shop and review parts to see what’s missing and what’s need to be replaced or updated.
  • Complete projects as assigned by your Team Manager.

  • Complete projects as assigned by your CAD Supervisor.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work both independently and as a productive member of a team.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office, include Word, Excel and Auto CAD.
  • Attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Customer oriented.
  • Good communication skills.


Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s required.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in 3D modeling. (Inventor preferred)
