Job Title: Buyer

Job Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Job Duration: 12+ Months

Shift: 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM (CST)

Intake Notes

  • Recent grad would be okay for this role or someone with possible administrative role in a purchasing environment;
  • This is a project position that a full-time role could become available later on within the team;
  • Looking for candidate that is detail oriented, good organization and communication skills, knowledgeable with Microsoft Office; SAP S4 Hana system knowledge a plus;
  • HM is looking for at least 3 to 5 years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Buyer Assistant role.
  • Will be assisting Buyer with sales orders, on hand inventory and work with freight forwarders to export shipments to Japan and other countries.
  • Work with Compliance team and export shipments in a timely manner.
  • Create commercial invoices, inbound/outbound deliveries.
  • Analyze and communicate relevant data such as vendor quotes, parts lists, reports, etc.
  • Manage open order base to optimize maximum supplier performance and assist with cost reduction activities.
  • Interact effectively with internal and external customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree can be substituted by minimum of 4 years direct work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience;
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing desired; electronics industry background at a minimum;
  • Experience in standard purchasing practices related to associated manufacturing, documents (BOMs, specifications, etc.)
