Business Change Analyst

Role

This position is a technical role within the Corporate Strategy team, working directly with business teams, with a focus on driving business process improvement through the application of technology. This role includes hands on delivery of technical solutions, initially focused on workflow automation using Mendix workflows, and working on Workday integrations but also needing to deliver reporting using tools such as SQL, DBT and PowerBI. Experience with building systems for HR or recruiting would be advantageous.

This is a high visibility and high impact opportunity given the diverse mandate with responsibilities spanning across both business analysis and hands-on technical delivery. As such, the ideal candidate will be highly adaptable and willing to learn new technical skills as well as become a business domain expert as we automate key processes to reduce the risk of human error and increase efficiency of business teams.

This role is hands on, including directly developing Mendix automation, customizing Workday, and building PowerBI reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering and solution design directly with end users
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and process flow maps.
• Create and implement technical solutions to solve current and future business problems as part of an overall roadmap
• Automate workflows to improve internal processes by implementing cross-team and cross-functional workflows and solutions within tools such as Mendix and Workday, as well as other systems. The ideal candidate will be technology agnostic and focused on business value.
• Build reporting and analytics for Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, Accounting, Operations and other teams
• Customize Mendix, Workday and other tools to improve the user experience, including writing code
• Create automated tests for workflows
• Keep up to date with Mendix and Workday feature releases, evaluate and integrate features as well as train users while driving adoption of new features and tools
• Create training documentation that will be used by other teams

Qualifications

• Experience with Mendix, SQL, REST API calls.
• Python or React experience would be a bonus.
• Experience working with Workday integrations
• Experience working with workflow automation using Mendix, Appian, Outsystems, ServiceNow, Microsoft Powerflows, Salesforce Flows, or other automation tooling
• Experience in at least one primary BI tool such as PowerBI, Tableau or Looker
• Experience in adapting already gathered requirements to the evolving needs of the business
• Exceptional attention to detail and a focus on correct data
• Demonstrated project management experience
• Ability to work without close supervision in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Demonstrated examples of resilience to deal with ambiguity and change
• Ability to provide clarity and insight through data visualizations and reporting commentary
• Experience working in asset management (Private Equity, Long-only, Hedge Funds, Family Office) is advantageous but not required

With respect to NY- and CA-based applicants, the starting base pay range for this role is between $125000 and $175000 annually. The actual base pay is dependent upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, business needs and market demands. This role may also be eligible for bonus compensation and employee benefits.
