About The Role
We are currently seeking a part-time Bookkeeper with federal experience to handle various financial responsibilities including monthly invoicing, payroll management, financial reporting, and project-based accounting. Knowledge of federal financial regulations and DCAA compliance is essential.
Project Basis: Hours will vary; typically requires 5 hours per week.
Type of Work: Contract/1099 (no benefits).
Location: Remote, U.S.
What You'll Do
Prepare and submit monthly invoices.
Manage semi-monthly payroll.
Conduct basic financial analysis and prepare reports for leadership.
Calculate wrap rates and ensure compliance with DCAA regulations.
Reconcile bank accounts using QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Maintain payroll-to-financial system mappings using Transaction Pro.
Ensure proper cost distribution for project-based accounting.
Advise on financial improvements and best practices.
What You'll Need
3-5+ years of experience as a bookkeeper.
Experience with project-based accounting, ideally in federal contracting.
Familiarity with DCAA regulations.
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
Desired Skills
Experience with QBTime and Paylocity is a plus.
