Biomedical Technician

TRC Talent is looking for a Biomedical Technician for our client in Kennesaw!

Job Summary:

The Biomedical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of biomedical equipment. This role ensures that all medical devices are in proper working condition, meet regulatory standards, and are safe for patient use. The technician works closely with healthcare staff to ensure equipment reliability and performance.

Job Details:

  • Monday-Friday, 7AM-4:30PM
  • $20/hr + (based on experience)
  • Temp to hire

Job Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Setup:
    • Install new biomedical equipment following manufacturer guidelines.
    • Ensure proper setup and functionality of devices.
  • Maintenance and Calibration:
    • Perform regular preventive maintenance on biomedical equipment.
    • Calibrate devices to ensure accuracy and performance.
    • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities.
  • Repair and Troubleshooting:
    • Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions.
    • Replace defective parts and perform tests to confirm repairs.
    • Collaborate with manufacturers for complex repairs and technical support.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct safety checks and risk assessments on biomedical devices.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of all equipment, including maintenance and repair logs.
    • Prepare reports on equipment status and service activities.
    • Document and report any safety incidents or equipment failures.
  • User Training and Support:
    • Provide training to healthcare staff on the proper use and care of biomedical equipment.
    • Offer technical support and answer user inquiries.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies.
    • Order necessary parts and equipment to ensure availability for maintenance and repairs.
Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate’s degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Certifications: Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) certification preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong technical and mechanical skills.
    • Knowledge of medical device standards and regulations.
    • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software.
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
