The Biomedical Equipment Technician II is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of complex biomedical equipment and systems. This position requires advanced technical knowledge and skills in the areas of electronics, mechanics, and computer systems. The Biomedical Equipment Technician III will work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and meets regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of complex biomedical equipment and systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
Document all work performed in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure that all equipment meets regulatory requirements and is safe for patient use.
Provide technical support and training to other technicians and clinical staff.
Stay current with new technologies and industry trends.
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency service calls as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of complex biomedical equipment and systems
Advanced technical knowledge and skills in electronics, mechanics, and computer systems
Experience with a wide range of biomedical equipment, including imaging systems, patient monitors, and life support systems.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various locations as needed.
